WHAT’S HAPPENING?
Glad you asked.
In Autumn each year we transport fresh grapes from a network of growers throughout Victoria and turn them into delicious wine right here in the city. We’re out to showcase the incredible diversity of fruit from throughout Victoria’s regions, and demystify the winemaking process by making it accessible to the wine lovers of Melbourne.
Noisy Ritual was built on a philosophy of celebration - we think making and drinking wine should be relaxed, loud, inclusive and fun - so join us for a one-off workshop or jump on board as a Winemaker Member to take part in the whole process over 9 months!
We’ll take you through the steps of the winemaking process in a few fun hours. Perfect if you’re keen to get your hands (and feet) dirty and pick the brain of NR winemaker Alex, but not quite ready to commit for 9 months like our Winemaker Members.
Help us stomp some grapes and/or press a batch of wine whilst learning about fermentation and maturation. We’ll taste samples of juice and wine directly from fermentation bins, tanks and/or barrels to see, touch, smell and taste the fermentation process in action! When the work and wisdom-imparting is complete, toast to a job well done with some snacks and a tasting flight of 6 wines!

Through a series of workshops you'll participate in the whole winemaking process from grape to glass. It’s all about learning through doing – getting your hands (and feet) dirty in the name of making good-quality wine.
