What is this place?

Noisy Ritual is a truly unique experience in Melbourne, and a haven for people interested in good booze, food and music.

It's a functioning winery by day and transforms into a wine bar and cellar door in the evenings. Stop by for a glass of wine (or local craft beer) among the barrels, or take a bottle home. Sign up for a winemaking experience, come to one of our special events, or hire the space for your own occasion.

Background

The Wine

Since our humble beginnings under Cam’s house in 2014 we’ve expanded the scope of our wines a little bit. On the menu today you’ll find a few sparkling options, a couple of whites, a rose and a range of red wines made with our rowdy members. The winemaker at the helm overseeing all this production (and ensuring the fun times are not counterproductive to the creation of delicious wine) is Alex Byrne. You can find some of his other wines (under his own Byrne and Liquid Rock’n’Roll labels) on the menu as well. You may even find the man himself (on one side of the bar or other).

Beer and other stuff

We love beer as much as we love wine, so there’s always a delicious and seasonally appropriate selection from local craft brewers on the menu. A cider or two, Rockies Lemonade (made just up the road), apple juice and sparkling water round out the menu.

Food

We’ve got your necessities covered inhouse: olives, smoked almonds, toasted sandwiches & grazing platters. You can also order delicious pizza from our talented neighbours at Mankoushe in the bar and they’ll walk it down, or order in via Uber Eats or Deliveroo etc as well.

Live Music / Sunday Ritual

Every Sunday we host an incredible live act in the space - and entry is always free. Join us for a relaxing Sunday session - lunch from 1pm and music from 3pm.

Tasting Flights

Here’s a fun way to get a good sense of a range of our wines in one sitting. Taste a selection of 6 wines served in test tubes alongside tasting notes. (we highly recommend pouring each one into your wine glass, rather than sampling from the tube)
Enjoy our winemaker’s selection for $20, or choose any 6 wines from the menu for $25.
Serving sizes are 6 x 50ml - so the whole thing is equivalent to 2 glasses of wine.
